PHPbb3.0 isnt worth for us to wait? this is what in my mind when i think about phpbb too many security issue, it maybe because of Phpbb is 1 of most famous PHP FORUM available on the net!
Google trends rating show how much important PHPbb to most of webmaster as medium for them to create a simple forum.

but isnt it worth for us to wait for phpbb3? its absolutely YES. its because of too many tweak and improvement since phpbb2.0

A) Jabber communication. Users can now communicate through this open source instant messenging protocol.
B) An unlimited number of subforums can be created

C) Caching. Major performance and caching enhancements have been made which will allow it to support many more users.

D) Mod system improvements. The module system has been re-written from scratch to allow easy install of 3rd party addons/components.

Maybe all the features PHPbb3.0 offer will attract more user to use this script :) just time will decide PHPbb3.0 will survive in Forum Software Competition
